Katie Kilcollin

Dr. Katie Kilcollin, a Union native, returned to her hometown to practice dentistry with her father in June 2009. After graduating from Greenbrier East High School in 2001 she continued her undergraduate studies at Winthrop University, in Rock Hill, SC. While at Winthrop, Dr. Katie played Division I basketball for four years for the Lady Eagles.  In 2005 she graduated cum laude with a degree in Nutrition Science and a minor in Chemistry.

In 2009, Dr. Katie graduated with honors from West Virginia University School of Dentistry, completing her dental school career ranked number one in clinical proficiency and number two in overall grade point average.

Dr. Katie serves on the Monroe County 4-H Board, is the Secretary and Treasurer of the Greenbrier Valley Dental Society and served a 4 year term at the national level for the American Dental Association Council of Membership Insurance and Retirement Plans. She has achieved Fellowship status with the Academy of General Dentistry which requires 500 hours of continuing education and a comprehensive exam – an honor achieved by only 6% of general dentists.

"Being a dentist was just something in my genes,” says Dr. Katie. “When in elementary school, my dad ordered scrubs for me, in my size, and I loved going to the office with him and pretending that I was a dentist. My father’s professionalism and enthusiasm for his career was always so evident in our household. It was a natural fit for me to follow in his footsteps."

When out of the office, Dr. Katie enjoys quality time with family and friends, traveling near and far, continuing her dental education, and participating in recreational sports.
